Richard T. Davis

Richard T. Davis focuses his practice on commercial transactions, general corporate matters, real estate and banking.

Since graduating from law school, Mr. Davis has practiced law with firms in both Alabama and Florida, with over 20 years of experience of providing counsel to small businesses. Mr. Davis has represented clients in their day-to-day operations, including drafting and negotiating employment agreements and related documentation, and also in the purchase and sale of their businesses.

Over the years Mr. Davis’ practice has also involved representing college and professional football and basketball coaches. Mr. Davis has assisted his coaching clients by negotiating employment and endorsement agreements and providing advice and counsel on career moves.

Mr. Davis also served as the attorney for Cameron, Davis, Gonzalez & Marroney’s real estate practice that handled closings, including issuing the title insurance policies, for numerous developments across Florida for a large residential resort developer.

Mr. Davis attended The University of Alabama on a football scholarship where he played under legendary coach Paul “Bear” Bryant. During his four years at Alabama the football team won four SEC championships and one national championship. Following his senior season in 1974, Mr. Davis was elected as permanent co-captain by his teammates. Mr. Davis was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in 1975 and played four years in the National Football League.
